CURRENT REPORT BLOG The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to begin their 2026 World Cup qualification journey. They will kick off the campaign against Lesotho’s Crocodiles on November 17, followed by a match against Zimbabwe’s Warriors on November 20 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. The match schedule was announced through the Super Eagles X Twitter handle.
In their qualifying group, they’ll also be competing against South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic, which is managed by the former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr. The team that secures the top spot in the group will earn an automatic ticket to the 2026 World Cup hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. This comes after the Super Eagles missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar when they lost to their longtime rival, Ghana, in the playoff round.
