CURRENT REPORT BLOG The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has provided an update on the investigation into the tragic death of the 27-year-old singer, Mohbad. According to the Commissioner, it has been determined that Mohbad’s demise was a consequence of the injection administered by the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who had treated him on September 12, 2023.

During a press briefing held at the state headquarters on October 6, the Commissioner disclosed that five individuals had been apprehended, detained, and interrogated in connection with the events leading to the singer’s death.

The Commissioner explained, “The auxiliary nurse, who was summoned by Ayobami Sadiq, also known as Spending, a friend of Mohbad, on September 11, 2023, to provide medical attention to the singer at his residence in Lekki, administered three different injections on September 12, 2023. These injections are believed to have triggered a series of reactions that directly led to the singer’s untimely demise.”

He further clarified that the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, is considered the primary suspect in Mohbad’s death. The injections, which included Tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, intravenous, and cetrazone injections, were administered intravenously to Mohbad at his residence on September 12, 2023.
