CURRENT REPORT BLOG The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called upon President Bola Tinubu to address the security challenges in the North-West and other regions of the country. ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, issued this appeal while distributing relief items to 320 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Katsina State. The distributed items included rice, beans, spaghetti, groundnut oil, salt, and seasoning.
Dr. Lawwali Alkali Argungu, representing ASUU, expressed disappointment with the previous government’s handling of security issues and urged Tinubu to take action on security matters. ASUU remains committed to supporting vulnerable groups like IDPs and hopes for their swift return to their original homes for stability.
