CURRENT REPORT BLOG Senator Ali Ndume has urged President Bola Tinubu to enact an executive order aimed at tackling unexplained wealth in Nigeria. This request comes in response to retired Supreme Court Justice Musa Muhammad Dattijo’s concerns regarding corruption in the country’s judiciary. Ndume, representing Borno South in the All Progressives Congress, has previously attempted to introduce legislation to address the issue but has encountered obstacles. He now suggests that an executive order issued by the president would be the most effective way to address the problem, highlighting the need for accountability, especially among politicians and civil servants living lifestyles beyond their apparent means. Ndume also emphasizes the public’s role in ensuring elected officials remain accountable for their actions.
