9th House of Reps valedictory

CURRENT REPORT BLOG The House of Representatives plans to investigate the National Population Commission’s (NPC) spending on the postponed 2023 census. This decision came after Hon. Dominic Okafor raised concerns about the 200 billion naira already expended on the census. President Buhari had previously approved the indefinite postponement of the 2023 census, originally scheduled for May 3 to 7, citing the incoming administration’s determination to set a new date.

In light of this, the House of Representatives aims to scrutinize the funds allocated to the census and address the concerns surrounding its scheduling, particularly due to the prevailing insecurity issues.
