CURRENT REPORT BLOG: In a recent development concerning the untimely demise of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, the Lagos State Police Command has revealed that they are yet to receive the official autopsy report. The 27-year-old artist passed away on September 12, and amid the controversy surrounding his death, Nigerians called for a comprehensive autopsy to determine the true cause.
The Autopsy Process
Exactly two months after MohBad’s demise, on September 21, his body was exhumed in Ikorodu, Lagos, to facilitate the autopsy process. The Lagos State Police Command announced on October 6 that the autopsy had been concluded, with results pending.
Awaiting Results
Nigerians have been eagerly anticipating the release of the autopsy results, seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding the artist’s death. However, despite the passage of time, the official report is still pending, leaving the public in suspense.
Statement from the Police
In a recent interview with Punch on November 20, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, clarified the situation. He stated, “The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been carrying rumors that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumors, we work with facts.”
