Addressing journalists at his Wadata palace in Bida, Niger State, the revered monarch emphasized the importance of compassion and fair pricing, particularly when it comes to essential food items during this sacred period.

With Ramadan being a time of spiritual reflection, fasting, and acts of kindness, Etsu Nupe urged traders to align their business practices with Islamic teachings. He stressed the significance of conducting fair trade and extending support to the less privileged members of society. The royal father emphasized that raising prices during Ramadan contradicts the spirit of the month and urged traders to consider the consequences before Almighty Allah.

In his address, Etsu Nupe highlighted the responsibility of affluent individuals to support those in need. He called upon wealthy Nigerians to utilize their resources to alleviate the hardships faced by the poor and widows, emphasizing the importance of providing both food items and financial assistance. By doing so, he explained, they contribute significantly to the well-being of society and earn divine blessings.
