In a recent interview with TMZ, the ‘Fill Me In’ crooner candidly opened up about his celibacy journey, attributing his decision to a desire to address personal issues. David expressed that this period of abstinence allowed him to prioritize self-growth and introspection, ultimately aiding in his emotional well-being.

Surprisingly, David also noted a remarkable surge in his creativity during this period. He emphasized that his creative output had reached unprecedented levels, suggesting a correlation between celibacy and heightened artistic inspiration.

“It’s been two years now for me [without sex]. But funnily, much as I was like, ‘Wow!’ to myself for the moment, [my] creativity has been on a 100, on a max, for those two years,” David remarked.

Furthermore, the acclaimed singer-songwriter revealed his hopes that celibacy would serve as mental preparation for his future relationships. By taking this intentional pause from physical intimacy, David aims to cultivate a deeper understanding of himself and establish a solid foundation for his next romantic endeavor.
