Comedian Seyi Law: No Pity for President Tinubu

In a post on his X handle, Seyi Law expressed his belief that Tinubu has the potential to improve Nigeria by addressing the issues left behind by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Seyi Law did not mince words in his message to Tinubu. He asserted that the criticisms aimed at Tinubu stem from his decision to allow Buhari to lead Nigeria once again. Seyi Law emphasized his relief at never having voted for Buhari, highlighting the negative consequences of Buhari’s leadership.

He stated, “Dear @officialABAT, I am very happy that I never voted for Buhari at any time. I am very happy. All the hits you are receiving today are because you allowed Buhari to rule Nigeria again.”

Despite his critical stance, Seyi Law expressed a belief in Tinubu’s capability to rectify the damage done by the previous administration. He acknowledged the positive steps taken by Tinubu, such as addressing the exchange rate arbitrage and removing the fuel subsidy.

Seyi Law remarked, “While I believe you can help Nigeria get better by fixing the mess. I don’t pity you for taking the job. Asiwaju, thank you for stopping the exchange rate arbitrage that was enriching a few of us and the fuel subsidy. Now, let’s get more policies that will better our lives at the grassroots.”

In his post, Seyi Law also urged Tinubu to engage in dialogue with Nigeria’s youth and ignore those sponsoring protests. He emphasized the importance of implementing policies that would benefit citizens at the grassroots level.

He concluded, “Your Excellency, forget about those sponsoring the protest and engage your young population in dialogue. You can’t afford to fail. God bless you and Nigeria.”
