CurrentReport Blog The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced a temporary road closure and traffic diversion in the Rigachikun – Kawo – Mando – Afaka area of Kaduna on August 30, 2024. The closure will be in effect from 07:00 am to 11:00 am to ensure the safe conduct of the “Endurance Run” exercise for Army, Navy, and Air Force cadets.
This update was shared in a statement by Major Mohammed Maidawa, the Academy’s Public Relations Officer. He detailed that the road closure and traffic diversion are necessary to facilitate the smooth execution of the annual “Exercise Camp Initial” programme, a key training exercise for first-term cadets of the NDA.
The affected routes include the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot, the Nigerian-Turkish International School Junction in Rigachikun, Kawo Fly Over, Mando, and Afaka. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period to avoid delays.
“The NDA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and seeks the understanding and cooperation of the general public,” Maidawa said.
For those traveling through these areas, it’s crucial to plan ahead to avoid disruptions. The NDA appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this important training exercise.
