CurrentReport Blog Stanley Nwabali has shown strong support for his international teammate Victor Osimhen, following the forward’s unsuccessful attempt to leave Serie A club Napoli before the close of the transfer window.
Osimhen, who was keen on a move away from Napoli, had been linked with a potential transfer to Saudi club Al Ahli and Premier League giant Chelsea. However, both deals fell through before Friday’s transfer deadline, leaving the striker in a challenging position. As a result, Osimhen has been excluded from Napoli’s Serie A squad, and now faces the prospect of being sidelined from club football until next year.
In a show of solidarity, Nwabali took to social media to encourage Osimhen, offering words of support during this difficult time. “All great legends and all Hall of Fame fighters have their storylines. Good, bad, and worst kinds of views from people who have no idea what the real story is and what it takes. I would define a myth as a story that has survived. VO9,” Nwabali wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
