Sokoto Residents Jubilate as Notorious Bandit Kachallah Buzu is Killed by Nigerian Troops

Alhaji Aliyu Shugaba Maiyadi, Chairman of the Coalition for Young Traders Group, led the chorus of praise for the military, lauding their ongoing efforts to combat banditry in Sokoto and Zamfara. In a statement released in Sokoto, Alhaji Maiyadi applauded the bravery and quick action of the troops, who he said have put an end to the reign of terror unleashed by Kachallah Buzu and his gang.

Alhaji Maiyadi further noted that the military’s victory reflects their unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and livelihoods of citizens. He extended gratitude on behalf of Sokoto residents to the Minister of State for Defense, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, the Nigerian Army, and all security agencies for their continued efforts in tackling the security challenges in the region.

“The people of Sokoto State are thankful and can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing the military remains resolute in its mission to protect them,” said Maiyadi. He urged the military to remain relentless in their pursuit of other bandits and criminals still at large, describing the success as a morale booster for both the troops and the people.

The operation that led to Kachallah Buzu’s death took place on Thursday, with the military launching a massive assault on the bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State. The notorious bandit, who had called for a unified front against the military just hours before his death, was swiftly neutralized in the daring operation, which also resulted in the elimination of several other criminals.

This success marks a significant step forward in the Nigerian military’s strategy to rid the region of banditry and terrorism, offering hope to residents that peace may soon be restored.
