CurrentReport Blog Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been handed a significant boost ahead of the Europa League fixture against FC Porto on Thursday, as both Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have returned to training.

Kobbie Mainoo, who suffered an injury during United’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, has resumed full training, raising hopes of his participation in Thursday’s clash. Joining him is former club captain Harry Maguire, who missed the Spurs game due to a minor knock. Both players are now in contention to feature in the must-win match against Porto.

In addition, there is positive news regarding Mason Mount. Despite concerns following a head injury, it has been confirmed that the issue was not a concussion, increasing the likelihood of Mount being available for selection.

Manchester United, who have struggled in the early stages of the Premier League with three losses from their opening six matches, are eager to turn their fortunes around in the Europa League after a 1-1 draw with Twente in their first group game.

Ten Hag’s squad will travel to Portugal on Wednesday, with the final travelling squad to be confirmed once they depart from Manchester Airport.
