CurrentReport Blog The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially appointed Nigerian referee Joseph Ogabor to officiate the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matchday three clash between Tunisia and Comoros. The much-anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stade Olympique in Tunis on Friday.
Joseph Ogabor, a highly respected FIFA-badged referee, brings years of experience to the game. In addition to his officiating duties, Ogabor also serves as a lecturer at the University of Calabar, showcasing his commitment both on and off the field.
Assisting Ogabor in this crucial AFCON qualifier will be two fellow Nigerian officials. Samuel Pwadutakam has been named the first assistant referee, while Abdulmajeed Usman Olaide will take on the role of second assistant referee. Another Nigerian, Basheer Salisu, has been appointed as the fourth official for the match, further emphasizing Nigeria’s strong representation in the officiating team.
CAF has also assigned Fatou Gaye from Senegal as the referee assessor for this game, ensuring that the officiating standards remain high.
