NAFDAC Destroys Harmful Products Worth N10 Billion in Gombe State

CurrentReport Blog The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed harmful products valued at N10 billion in Gombe State. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, made this known on Wednesday, stating that the items were seized from six states in Nigeria’s North East region.

Represented by Zonal Director Mr. Kenneth Azukwe, Adeyeye disclosed that the destroyed products included food items, drugs, and other regulated goods. The seizure was the result of diligent efforts by regulatory and enforcement officers who worked tirelessly to intercept and confiscate these dangerous items.

“NAFDAC stands at the forefront of ensuring that only quality, safe food items, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, and packaged water are sold and consumed in Nigeria,” Adeyeye noted.

The destruction exercise serves as a stern warning to those involved in illegal and harmful trade practices.
