CurrentReport Blog Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have urged the National Assembly to ensure fairness, equity, and national balance in its legislative processes. Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed, made this appeal during the Forum’s meeting in Jos on Saturday.
Mohammed emphasized the need for critical interrogation of bills to foster even development across Nigeria, urging the legislative body to prioritize inclusivity and justice in its decision-making processes.
Addressing Nigeria’s ongoing economic challenges, Mohammed called on President Bola Tinubu to reassess his administration’s macro-economic and fiscal policies. He stressed the importance of implementing measures to alleviate the hardships faced by citizens, ensuring their welfare and well-being are prioritized.
The Forum also commended Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for hosting the meeting and extended sympathies to the state over the recent fire outbreak at a wood market. Mohammed expressed solidarity with the government and people of Plateau, offering condolences to those affected by the incident.
The PDP Governors Forum reaffirmed its commitment to national unity, equitable development, and the pursuit of policies aimed at improving the lives of all Nigerians.
