Workers in the state started receiving their upgraded salaries on November 25, marking a significant improvement in their earnings.
Speaking on the milestone, the Kano State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, applauded the government’s commitment to prioritizing workers’ welfare. He encouraged civil servants to rededicate themselves to providing efficient service delivery in light of this development.
Alhaji Musa also advised workers to manage their increased earnings responsibly, urging them to avoid unnecessary spending and focus on improving their living conditions.
Additionally, the Head of Service revealed that the Kano State Government has begun disbursing allowances owed to health workers. This move underscores the administration’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of its workforce across various sectors.
The implementation of the new minimum wage is expected to boost the morale of civil servants in Kano and contribute to overall economic growth in the state.
