CurrentReport Blog Enyimba FC forward, Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, is set to spend an extended period on the sidelines due to an ankle injury sustained during the Abia State President Federation Cup final against Ahudiyannem FC on Sunday. The injury occurred in a tough match, which saw the People’s Elephant suffer a defeat.
Ihemekwele, who has been a crucial part of Enyimba’s attack this season, has scored four goals and provided one assist in 25 league appearances for the Aba-based club. The club will be hoping to maintain their momentum in his absence as they face Shooting Stars in a critical matchday 26 fixture at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Wednesday.
Currently sitting in 11th position with 34 points, Enyimba will look to secure a vital three points to improve their standing in the NPFL and push for a top-half finish by the end of the season.
