Father Okechukwu was kidnapped from his residence at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tachira Atakar, on Tuesday evening at approximately 9:15 p.m. Intelligence sources reported that his body was found bearing signs of violence, prompting an immediate investigation into the crime.
The priest’s remains have been transferred to St. Louis Hospital, Zonkwa, for a post-mortem examination. Security forces have intensified efforts to track down those responsible for the abduction and murder. The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan has expressed profound sorrow over Father Okechukwu’s death, describing him as a devoted servant of God who dedicated his life to the service of humanity.
