CurrentReport Blog A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to set aside their political differences for the sake of Nigeria’s development.
In a statement issued on Tuesday through his Media Aide, Rasheed Abubakar, Mumuni emphasized that the ongoing political discord between the two leaders is a major impediment to national progress. He urged both figures to prioritize unity and constructive dialogue over political rivalry.
“At this critical juncture in our nation’s history, the discord between President Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar must be set aside for the greater good of our beloved country,” Mumuni stated. “Nigerians are tired of prolonged crises and political strife that have brought about hardship, insecurity, and disillusionment.”
Mumuni stressed the importance of honest political discourse, urging leaders to focus on key areas such as economic recovery, security, education, and healthcare. He proposed a national summit where Tinubu and Atiku can engage in open dialogue to craft collaborative solutions for Nigeria’s challenges.
“Our people deserve leaders who are ready to put the nation above personal grievances,” he added, noting that history will remember those who choose unity and progress over division.
The APC chieftain’s appeal comes at a time when Nigerians are demanding more from their leaders in terms of cooperation and results-driven governance.
