CurrentReport Blog Lucky Johnson, the member representing Isuikwuato Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has strongly refuted claims that the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, is facing impeachment.
Addressing recent reports circulating on social media, Johnson described the allegations as baseless and an attempt to mislead the public. Speaking to AFNEWS in Umuahia on Wednesday, Johnson, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dismissed the speculation linking Emeruwa’s alleged impeachment to a fallout with Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
“Let it be categorically stated that there is no plan to impeach the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa,” Johnson emphasized.
The lawmaker assured the public of a harmonious relationship between the Speaker and other members of the Assembly, urging Abians to disregard false claims. He encouraged citizens to focus on issues that promote unity and development in the state.
The clarification comes amidst growing concerns about political stability in the Abia Assembly. Johnson’s statement is expected to reassure constituents and stakeholders of the Assembly’s commitment to collaborative governance.
