CurrentReport Blog The Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), for engaging in anti-party activities. The decision, announced on Tuesday by the State PDP Chairman, Abraham Amah, follows the adoption of a disciplinary committee report that investigated Wabara’s alleged misconduct.
According to Chairman Amah, the disciplinary committee thoroughly reviewed Wabara’s prior suspension before concluding that his actions warranted expulsion. The main issue cited was Wabara’s endorsement of Abia State Governor Alex Otti for a second term, an act the PDP deemed as disloyalty to the party.
In light of this expulsion, the Abia PDP has called on the national leadership of the party to nominate a replacement for the BoT Chairman position.
As of now, neither Senator Wabara nor his supporters have issued any official statement regarding the expulsion.
