American actress and media personality Amanda Seales has sparked controversy by alleging that the recent assassination attempt on former United States President and current Republican Party candidate Donald Trump was “staged.”
The incident, which occurred at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, resulted in the deaths of two people after gunshots were fired. Trump was swiftly escorted off the stage by security personnel. The FBI has since identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the “subject involved” in the assassination attempt.
Despite the confirmation from security agencies, Seales expressed her doubts about the authenticity of the attack in a video message shared on her social media page. She compared the incident to a theatrical production, questioning the sounds of the gunshots and the overall response from Trump.
“That sh*t was more staged than a Tyler Perry production of Madea Runs for President,” Seales remarked. She elaborated on her skepticism by describing her familiarity with real gunshots, saying, “I lived in Harlem long enough to know gunshots do not sound like making popcorn on the stove. Where did the bullet come from?”
Seales also referenced special effects used in theater and movies, such as blood pallets, to suggest that the scene might have been artificially orchestrated. “To be frank, Trump would not respond by raising his hand in the air where an actual attempt was made on his life,” she added, questioning the former president’s reaction during the incident.
