CURRENT REPORT BLOG The All Progressive Congress, (APC) has taken a major stand by withdrawing the accusations of anti-party activities against Hon. Yori Afolabi, the former minority leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly.

This was said in a brief statement signed by Hon. Komolafe Kayode Idowu, the Chairman of the APC for the Iyah/Ayeh Ward in the Kogi State local government area.

Recall that on March 8, 2023, Afolabi, the APC member in Ijumu, was suspended from the political party.

The one-page withdrawal letter reads, “Sequel to the letter of suspension of Hon Yori Afolabi from the party, dated March 8, 2023, the underlisted Iyah Gbede Ward excos of APC hereby withdraw and drop all charges against him for peaceful community settlement.”

The choice to drop the charges against Afolabi shows how complicated and dynamic Kogi State political allegiances are, which has kept the electorate and political analysts intrigued and speculating.
With this event, the story of the APC’s internal dynamics and personal connections is about to change, and it will have an impact that goes beyond Kogi State.
