CurrentReport Blog In a call for unity and progress, the South-east chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged opposition parties in Imo State to allow Governor Hope Uzodinma to focus on governance. This appeal was made by Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman of the APC in the South-east, in a press release made available on Sunday.
Dr. Arodiogbu congratulated Governor Uzodinma on his recent tribunal victory, emphasizing that many of the issues raised by the opposition had already been thoroughly litigated. “It was a waste of time,” he remarked, urging opposition parties to recognize the divine endorsement of Uzodinma’s administration and support the governor in his efforts to govern effectively.
Dr. Arodiogbu stressed the importance of collective effort in moving Imo State forward. He encouraged opposition members to join hands with Governor Uzodinma, stating, “Opposition members in the state should at this point join hands with the governor to move the state forward.”
Reflecting on the tribunal’s decision, Dr. Arodiogbu, who was also a key member of Governor Uzodinma’s re-election campaign team, expressed his heartfelt congratulations. “I wholeheartedly congratulate His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on his tribunal victory. It is indeed an expected victory. I equally rejoice with the All Progressives Congress in Imo State and Ndi Imo for the victory.”
Dr. Arodiogbu highlighted the significant development strides made under Governor Uzodinma’s leadership, attributing the tribunal’s favorable ruling to the governor’s impactful governance. “This victory is well deserved; it is a testament to Onwa’s stewardship, which has brought Imo massive development in all sectors. What the tribunal victory now implies is that the 3Rs agenda will be thorough and far-reaching, as there is no reason to disturb our working governor.”
