CURRENT REPORT BLOG Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, is a well-known Nigerian musician who has drawn criticism for disrespecting King Sunny Ade, the master of Juju music.
The 21-year-old musician was shown shaking the 77-year-old while standing in a widely circulated viral video on social media.
The majority of social media users took offence at this and criticised the young performer for being impolite.
In the footage, Starr was seen bending to give an embrace to Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, before moving on to where KSA and a few other guests were seated.
However, Starr has received criticism for her actions from users of the social media microblogging platform X.
Being a Yoruba girl, Aderibigbe was alleged to have portrayed the act of disrespect and misconduct while greeting the elderly man.
