Renowned Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has stirred controversy with his recent claims of an alleged plot by the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government to arrest former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Charly Boy warned against any such action, asserting that it would be met with unprecedented resistance.
In a social media post on his X handle, Charly Boy expressed concern over reports of an impending arrest of Peter Obi. He attributed this purported move to Obi’s consistent criticism of the current administration’s governance and accountability. Charly Boy cautioned the government against proceeding with any arrest or charges, emphasizing the potential consequences for national stability.
“We call on Tinubu’s government to desist from her evil plans against Peter Obi because Nigeria will not remain the same,” Charly Boy stated in his post, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
