CurrentReport Blog Controversial Nigerian media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, widely known as Daddy Freeze, has publicly expressed renewed confidence in Nigeria’s future under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. During an interview with Nigeria Info FM in Lagos, Daddy Freeze praised the President’s leadership, specifically his policies in the power sector, claiming they have restored hope for Nigerians.

Initially concerned about the country’s direction, Daddy Freeze now believes that under President Tinubu, Nigeria can overcome its long-standing challenges. He urged Nigerians to be patient, acknowledging the deep-rooted issues facing the nation.

Reflecting on his earlier skepticism, Daddy Freeze remarked, “With President Bola Tinubu, I don’t think Nigeria is in trouble. I was scared initially but I’m seeing the work he is doing in the power sector.” He compared Nigeria to a “big overloaded tipper with a bad engine,” explaining that any leader would face difficulties, but the current leadership is showing signs of progress.

Acknowledging the vast challenges Nigeria faces, Daddy Freeze stressed that expecting immediate results from any government is unrealistic. He emphasized, “The leadership is that mechanic,” and urged the citizens to allow time for the country’s recovery.

Daddy Freeze concluded with optimism, saying, “I am leaning towards the fact that we finally have hope in this country,” signaling his renewed faith in the Nigerian government.

As the Tinubu administration continues to implement policies aimed at improving key sectors, including power, the public remains divided in its views on the country’s future. However, Daddy Freeze’s recent comments suggest that, for some, hope is beginning to emerge amidst the challenges.
