CurrentReport Blog Former federal lawmaker and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Senator Shehu Sani, has raised concerns about the potential involvement of unseen forces behind the ongoing banditry and terrorism in Nigeria. In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Sani suggested that despite the massive ransoms being collected by bandits, they continue to live in poverty and squalor.

He noted that whenever these bandits are arrested, they appear “famished, dirty, and destitute,” which led him to believe that they may be mere fronts for more powerful, unseen forces.
