Bawa

CURRENT REPORT BLOG Back in June, Abdulrasheed Bawa, who was serving as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), found himself at the center of controversy when he was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS). His arrest was closely followed by an indefinite suspension handed down by President Bola Tinubu. The suspension was based on allegations of misconduct and an abuse of office. Since then, Bawa has remained in custody, and his situation has continued to attract public attention and speculation.

The latest development in this ongoing saga is the report from Sahara Reporters, dated October 20, stating that an impressive sum of over 580 million has been seized from Bawa during his time in custody. This revelation adds another layer of intrigue to the situation and raises questions about the source and purpose of these funds.
