Edo State Government Declares Work-Free Day for Governorship Election Preparation

This will allow workers and other voters to travel to their respective voting areas ahead of the election scheduled for Saturday, September 21.

Joseph Eboigbe, the Secretary to the Edo State Government, made this announcement in a statement from Benin City. He also reassured the public that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.

“The government wishes everyone safe travels and reassures that security measures have been provided to guarantee a free and fair election,” Eboigbe stated.

This move aims to ensure maximum participation in the electoral process, as citizens across Edo State prepare to cast their votes for the next governor.
