CurrentReport Blog The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has debunked widespread rumors that its official X account was hacked. In an exclusive statement to DAILY POST on Thursday, the Commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, categorically dismissed the claims as baseless.

Reports had surfaced on social media alleging that the anti-corruption agency’s X account had been compromised by hackers. These speculations quickly gained traction, raising concerns among the public about the security of the Commission’s online platforms.

However, Oyewale clarified that the EFCC’s X account is fully secure and that the current activities are part of an ongoing upgrade process. “It is untrue that our X account was hacked. The Commission’s X account is undergoing an upgrade to meet global standards. Its upgrade is on the commission’s authorization. There is nothing like hacking,” Oyewale stated.
