Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye conveyed this message of hope during a recent environmental sanitation exercise in Ido-Ile Ekiti.
Highlighting the government’s commitment, Afuye emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to implementing both permanent and palliative policies to strengthen the economy and restore normalcy. Despite the prevailing economic crunch, citizens were urged to maintain personal and environmental hygiene for enhanced wellness.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s proactive approach was underscored, with measures such as allocating funds for local governments to procure palliative materials and establishing a Price Control and Regulation Committee. These initiatives signify a concerted effort to alleviate the impact of hyper-inflation on Ekiti residents.
While acknowledging the current challenges, Afuye implored citizens to exercise patience and support President Tinubu’s administration. She reiterated Governor Oyebanji’s relentless efforts and commitment to addressing the crisis, reassuring citizens that relief is on the horizon.
The government’s unwavering focus on environmental sanitation was emphasized during discussions at the Palace of Olojudo of Ido Ile, where the importance of cleanliness in preventing disease outbreaks was underscored. Oba Aderemi Obaleye commended Governor Oyebanji’s strides in driving economic and infrastructural development, pledging community support to safeguard residents’ health.
Accompanying the Deputy Governor were key government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, and other top functionaries, signaling a unified effort to tackle prevailing challenges and prioritize citizen welfare.
