CurrentReport Blog Raymond Domenech, former manager of the French national team, has labeled Real Madrid a “small club” after the Spanish giants reportedly chose to skip the recent Ballon d’Or gala in Paris. The La Liga champions’ decision to miss the event came after their star player, Vinicius Jr, did not make the list of award finalists.
Domenech, speaking to GOAL.pl, called Real Madrid’s absence “absolutely pathetic,” accusing the club of disregarding the importance of the ceremony and showing disrespect to fellow participants and winners. “Real is said to be, and wants to be, seen as a big club. Meanwhile, it turned out that it is a small club. Very small!” he stated.
