CURRENT REPORT BLOG In a dramatic turn of events, Honorable Thaddeus Atta of the Labour Party has emerged victorious once again, this time at the Appeal Court which is the final court for election matter for legislatures. It’s a significant win for Eti Osa Constituency, considering the earlier ruling against his candidature by the tribunal court. Remember, The tribunal convened at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos state on Monday, September 11, declared the election as inconclusive. They instructed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a re-run election within 90 days for 33 polling units where the election did not take place.
Following this ruling, the electoral commission declared Thaddeus Atta, the candidate from the Labour Party (LP), as the victor of the election. He secured a total of 24,075 votes, surpassing Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 18,666 votes, and Ibrahim Obanikoro from the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 16,901 votes.
