Intensified Ground Operations in Gaza

The IDF has encountered fierce resistance from Hamas in northern Gaza, particularly in Jabalia, where hostilities have escalated. Overnight, the military’s 162nd Division conducted ambushes that killed “many dozens of terrorists” through gunfire and tank shelling.

The military also reported three rockets fired from Gaza on Monday. Two were intercepted by air defenses, while one landed in an open area, causing no injuries or significant damage.

Targeting Hamas Strongholds

The IDF released footage showing Hamas operatives planting explosives near the Indonesian Hospital in Jabalia, approximately 45 meters (148 feet) from the facility. The military condemned the use of civilian infrastructure as shields, calling it a violation of international law.

Last week, the IDF conducted a major raid at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, apprehending 240 suspected Hamas operatives and killing 19 others. Before the operation, 350 patients and medical staff were evacuated in coordination with the Defense Ministry.

Ceasefire Negotiations Ongoing

The intensified military activity comes amid ongoing negotiations for a potential ceasefire and the release of hostages. The IDF has emphasized its commitment to neutralizing Hamas operatives while mitigating risks to civilian populations.
