May 20, 2024, marks the cut-off point for parties to finalize and present their contenders, as announced by INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

With the closure of the candidate portal on May 20, political parties are urged to complete the submission process within the allocated timeframe. Professor Yakubu highlighted the conclusion of primaries by eighteen political parties in Ondo State, underscoring the significance of prompt action in the nomination process.

The timeline provided by INEC allows parties a period of twenty-three days, spanning over three weeks, from the conclusion of primaries to compile and submit the list of candidates. Each party is limited to presenting only two candidates – the gubernatorial candidate and their running mate.
