Israel DMW revealed that despite spending a hefty sum of over N2 million on their wedding, his ex-wife, Sheila, only refunded a mere N1,000 as bride price. This revelation comes in response to Sheila’s claim of returning the bride price.
Expressing his disappointment, Israel DMW emphasized that the bride price should have been returned to his family, as they were the ones who made the payment. He stressed the importance of a proper procedure for the refund, highlighting that a bank transfer directly to him was not acceptable.
Adding further complexity to the situation, Israel DMW asserted that only a Federal High Court holds the authority to dissolve their marriage, suggesting that the legal aspect of their separation remains unresolved.
In an Instagram story post, he urged his ex-wife to handle the matter in a more appropriate manner, emphasizing the significance of adhering to traditional customs and legal procedures.
