Timipre Sylva, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 11, 2023, Governorship election, had contested Governor Diri’s declaration as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). However, the three-member tribunal, chaired by Justice Adekunle Adeleye, dismissed Sylva’s petition on Monday, affirming Governor Diri’s re-election.
