Kemi Badenoch, the new leader of the UK’s Conservative Party, has unveiled a stringent immigration policy that will prevent migrants who claim benefits from becoming British citizens.

Under this new plan, applicants must prove they have never relied on benefits or social housing and must meet strict income thresholds to ensure they contribute to the economy. Those with criminal records will be automatically disqualified, and migrants on work visas who lose their jobs will face deportation.

Additionally, new rules will make it impossible for illegal migrants and visa overstayers to gain permanent residency. The waiting period for citizenship will also increase from one year to five.

Badenoch emphasized that the UK must control immigration more effectively, stating, “A UK passport should be a privilege, not an automatic right.”

This policy marks a significant shift in the Conservative Party’s stance on immigration, reinforcing a tougher approach to integration and national security.
