CURRENT REPORT BLOG Lawyer and activist Chet Nwata has claimed that a conflict has arisen between former Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike and his successor, Sim Fubara, regarding the state’s allocation. Nwata alleged that during an interview on Arise TV, Wike demanded a 25% share of Rivers state’s allocation, but Governor Sim reportedly offered 10%, which was declined. Nwata suggested that Governor Sim is pushing back against perceived oppression. He also stated that Wike assumed control of Rivers state following Governor Sim’s election, with significant influence over commissioner appointments and the Chief Security Officer’s appointment.
