According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, the suspect was apprehended on April 4, 2024, at approximately 9:00 am local time. In his chilling confession, Inyangake James Peter claimed that he was driven to commit the heinous act by a mysterious voice that incessantly urged him to end his mother’s life.
Following his arrest, the 40-year-old suspect was promptly transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for thorough investigation. The authorities are working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this shocking crime and bring the perpetrator to justice.
