CurrentReport Blog The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has highlighted the importance of collective effort in driving the progress and prosperity of the FCT. In his Eid-el-Maulud message on Monday in Abuja, Wike urged residents to embrace virtues such as patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the development of the region.
Wike emphasized the significance of empathy and togetherness in fostering unity among the diverse residents of the FCT. He noted that these values should guide the way people interact and work towards a shared vision of peace and progress.
“The Prophet’s life offers timeless lessons in the pursuit of peace, unity, and moral excellence,” Wike said, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, whose birth is celebrated on Eid-el-Maulud. “Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives in peace and security, just as the Prophet Muhammad envisioned a just and equitable society.”
The minister used the occasion to call on residents to reflect on the virtues of compassion, humility, and justice as exemplified by the Prophet. He also highlighted the opportunity Eid-el-Maulud presents for residents to recommit to values of tolerance, love, and kindness.
Wike concluded his message with a call for prayers for Nigeria and its leaders at all levels, as the country continues to strive for stability, growth, and the well-being of its citizens.
