CURRENT REPORT BLOG Emeka Emekesiri, the founder of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) and the Chairman of the Governing Council of Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has advised Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, to leave Nigeria and focus on his personal life. Emekesiri believes that Nigeria is beyond salvation due to its current state and the alleged injustices in its political system. He criticizes the electoral commission, judiciary, and international powers for their role in bringing President Bola Tinubu to power and asserts that the judiciary has lost its independence in Nigeria.
Emekesiri warns that the rule of impunity in Nigeria will not endure, and people may eventually take the law into their own hands to free themselves from what he sees as a state of oppression and corruption. His advice to Peter Obi is to concentrate on his own community and channel his resources to benefit his people rather than trying to save Nigeria, a country he believes is beyond rescue.
