The plea marks a significant development in a legal saga that initially involved 46 state charges against the artist.

Details of the Plea Deal

NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, admitted to:

  • Two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud
  • Two counts of third-degree felony forgery
  • Six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct

As part of the plea agreement, his felony charges were downgraded to Class A misdemeanors, significantly reducing potential penalties.

Sentencing and Fine

Judge Spencer Walsh suspended a prison sentence and instead imposed a $25,000 fine on the rapper. In his ruling, Walsh expressed optimism about YoungBoy’s future, stating:
“I’m sure that in your future, once you are done with your federal prison time, you can be really successful on federal probation and have a bright future where you can reach full potential in every aspect of your life.”

Current Legal Status

YoungBoy is already serving a 27-month federal prison sentence related to previous charges. Additionally, he is still facing an unresolved federal gun case in Louisiana, which could further impact his legal challenges.
