CurrentReport Blog Niger State Commissioner of Police, Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has emphasized the need for greater collaboration between the police and other security agencies to tackle the growing security challenges in the state. He made this call while receiving Kambra Abdullahi Adamu, the newly deployed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and his entourage during a courtesy visit in Minna.
Danmamman stressed the importance of partnership, saying, “We must work as partners in progress, appreciate and give cover to ourselves. The commitment to serve is reflected in the uniform we wear and the concept of esprit de corps.”
He acknowledged that internal security issues have become increasingly complex and that no single agency can address them alone. The Commissioner reiterated the need for all security agencies to collaborate and leverage their core competencies to ensure the safety of Niger State residents.
Danmamman also congratulated Commandant Kambra Adamu on his deployment to Niger State and wished him success in his new role.
In his remarks, Commandant Adamu outlined the NSCDC’s responsibilities, including the protection of critical national assets, the supervision of private security companies, disaster management, and assisting other security agencies. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the police and NSCDC to combat crime and ensure the safety of citizens.
