CurrentReport Blog The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has revealed its initial flight schedule for the airlift of pilgrims back to Niger State following the completion of the 2024 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement by Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, the Board’s Executive Secretary, delivered through the Public Relations Officer Jibrin Usman Kodo, the first group of pilgrims will depart on Sunday, July 7, 2024. This inaugural flight, operated by Flynas Airline, is set to take off from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah and will land at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The first batch of 425 pilgrims to be airlifted comprises individuals from the Mashegu area and parts of Mariga. Special consideration is being given to those with health challenges who are currently undergoing medical treatment.
In preparation for this significant journey, the weighing of luggage for the initial group of pilgrims began on Friday, July 5, 2024. Sheikh Aliyu emphasized that subsequent flight schedules will be communicated promptly to ensure a smooth return for all pilgrims from the Holy Land.
“The Executive Secretary and the Board are committed to facilitating a seamless and well-organised travel experience that prioritizes the safety, comfort, and convenience of all our pilgrims,” the statement highlighted.
