Nigeria Immigration Service Vows to Tighten Border Security Against Criminal Elements

The declaration comes as part of the agency’s unwavering commitment to bolstering border security and management.

Nandap, through the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo, emphasized the NIS’s dedication to safeguarding the nation’s borders from illicit activities. This assurance coincided with heartfelt felicitations extended to Muslim officers, citizens, and migrants residing in Nigeria, as well as to notable figures like President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubumi Tunji-Ojo, on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.

Acknowledging the collective efforts of fasting Muslims in praying for the country’s security, unity, and welfare, Nandap urged all Nigerians to uphold virtuous principles daily.
She underscored the NIS’s renewed determination to create a safer and more secure environment, emphasizing that only properly documented and authorized migrants contributing to the nation’s development would be allowed entry.

Furthermore, Nandap emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration among various security agencies. She emphasized that through unified efforts, the foundations of national defense, security, and development could be fortified.
