Participants will engage in a diverse array of sports, spanning 13 disciplines including football, badminton, snooker, athletics, swimming, basketball, chess, scrabble, golf, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, and squash. From traditional favorites like football to strategic battles in chess and scrabble, there’s something for every sports enthusiast to enjoy.
The lineup of participating companies reads like a who’s who of the industry, featuring powerhouse names such as NNPCL, Chevron, Oando, Seplat, LNG, PTI, Total Energies, Aradel Holdings, Exxon Mobil, Shell, NCDMB, NUPRC, and NMDPRA. With such esteemed organizations vying for glory, competition is sure to be fierce and adrenaline levels soaring.
Dr. Ifeyinwa Mojo-Eyes, the esteemed Local Organising Committee Chairman of the Games, emphasized the pivotal role of sports in promoting the health and well-being of oil workers and their respective companies. “When the workers are healthy, it will rub off on the productivity of these companies.
