Taoreed Lagbaja, reaffirmed the Army’s unwavering commitment to eradicating insurgents, marauding bandits, and all forms of external and internal aggression threatening the nation’s peace.

Lagbaja emphasized the importance of prayer for continued operational success and urged officers and soldiers to embody the values of love, peace, and sacrifice in the execution of their duties. He highlighted the implementation of high-quality training to address the diverse security challenges facing the country.

Under his leadership, Lagbaja noted significant achievements in various operations, notably the ongoing Operation Hadin Kai in the North East and internal security operations nationwide. He assured prioritization of the welfare of officers and soldiers, ensuring they receive adequate training and essential equipment to fulfill their constitutional obligations effectively.

While acknowledging the dedication and professionalism of the troops, Lagbaja mourned the tragic loss of colleagues in the recent attack in Okuama community, Delta State, urging continued steadfastness and diligence in tackling security threats.

“Let me use this opportunity to acknowledge and thank you, my officers and soldiers, for your doggedness in tackling the numerous security challenges bedevilling us as a nation.

“You have displayed much commitment, courage, resilience, and professionalism. For this, I say well done and charge you not to rest on your oars until we have eliminated all forms of threat to our country.

“While still grieving the recent unwarranted and gruesome murder of our colleagues in Okuama community of Delta, which occurred on March 14, I urge you all to remain steadfast, diligent, and committed to the discharge of our constitutional responsibilities,” he said.
